How to Fit a Quarter-Turn Tap Headwork (UK)
Convert or replace 1/2" or 3/4" quarter-turn ceramic headworks on traditional UK pillar taps.

Match size and rotation
Measure the thread — 1/2" for basin/bath taps, 3/4" for bath and kitchen. Hot side rotates anti-clockwise to open; cold clockwise.
Fit
Isolate. Remove decorative shroud and crosshead. Old gland unscrews with adjustable spanner. Fit new headwork with fibre washer under seating.
