Identify the tap type
Half-turn traditional = rubber jumper valve. Quarter-turn = ceramic headwork. Single-lever mixer = ceramic disc cartridge.
Fix by type
- Traditional — replace 1/2" jumper valve washer (12 mm rubber disc).
- Quarter-turn — replace whole ceramic headwork (1/2" or 3/4").
- Ceramic disc mixer — replace cartridge (25/35/40 mm).
