How to Replace a Grohe Eurodisc Cartridge (UK)

Swap a ceramic-disc cartridge in a Grohe Eurodisc tap. UK isolators, splines, torque.

The cartridge

The Grohe Eurodisc uses a ceramic-disc cartridge. Note whether hot and cold are separate (dual-flow) or a single mixer cartridge before ordering.

Isolate

Turn off cold and hot at the flexi isolators below the basin. Open the tap to drop pressure. Remove the handle cap, undo the grub screw and lift the handle.

Swap

Loosen the retaining nut on the Grohe Eurodisc. Lift out the cartridge. Fit new O-rings, silicone-grease the body, drop the new cartridge in — align the anti-rotation tabs.

Reassemble in reverse. Test at full flow for 60 s, check under the basin for leaks.
