Identify the model
The model is stamped on the escutcheon plate. Excel BIV = 723 cartridge; Element BIV = 902 cartridge; Combiforce 415 = 1613 cartridge.
Fit
Isolate hot and cold at the built-in service valves. Remove flow and temp knobs (grub screw under cap). Cartridge unscrews with 32 mm socket. Fit new cartridge with silicone grease on O-rings.
