How to Replace a Toilet Seat (UK)

Fixing types

Bottom-fix (traditional) — wing nuts under the pan. Top-fix (modern back-to-wall) — bolts down from above only.

Measurements

Width across fixing holes (typically 100–170 mm). Length of pan from bolt centres to front edge (typically 400–450 mm).
