How to Replace the Shroud Kit on a Triton Dene TMV3 Bar (UK)

UK guide to swapping the shroud kit in a Triton Dene TMV3 Bar shower valve. TMV2 compliance, part numbers, tools.

Triton

The part

Replace the concealing plate and shroud on the Triton Dene TMV3 Bar where limescale has locked the temperature handle.

Isolate

Undo the two handle grub screws (2.5 mm hex on most Triton models). Lift the shroud off — do not lever, it cracks.

Swap the shroud kit

Fit new O-rings between the wall plate and shroud to keep the IP54 rating.

Commission

Balance hot and cold to within 0.5 bar. Run the Triton Dene TMV3 Bar at max flow for 3 minutes.

Verify max outlet temperature stays below 46 °C per BS EN 1111 by shutting off cold and reading the outlet.

Frequently asked questions

Chrome or brushed?
The Triton Dene TMV3 Bar kit ships in polished chrome as standard. Brushed finishes carry a -BR suffix.
Wall plate offset?
10–35 mm adjustment on Triton concealed valves — use the shroud packer to hide any tile mismatch.
OEM or aftermarket for Triton?
For TMV2/TMV3 compliance always fit genuine Triton cartridges. Aftermarket voids the Dene TMV3 Bar approval.
